Job Description
Accountable to: Reservations Manager
Position
Summary: To professionally assist Great Lakes customers with travel arrangements
Areas of Accountability/
Essential Functions:
Communicates with customers by telephone to provide information regarding fares, schedules, flight routings and availability of flights using computer-based reservations systems
Provides calm, friendly, professional customer service in an efficient and accurate manner
Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of Great Lakes in a team environment
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability:
Strong customer service skills and friendly demeanor
Ability to be flexible and respond readily to change
Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written format
Ability to creatively problem solve one on one with customers
Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Ability to be detail oriented, highly organized and be able to multi-task
Ability to memorize city and airline codes (alpha and numeric)
Ability and willingness to learn and comprehend company policies and procedures
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
Computer proficiency including use of MS Word and Excel Programs
Computer keyboarding and data entry experience
Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in use of computerized reservations systems
Education/Training/
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong customer service skills
Previous Call Center experience using multi-phone line systems preferred

year(s) Travel/Sales experience preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Office/call center environment
Quiet to Moderate noise level
Frequent sitting (up to 4 hours at a time), writing, typing, filing, use of standard office equipment
Occasional standing, reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling/crouching, lifting up to 25lbs without assistance
Other Requirements:
Must speak, read, write, and understand English, bilingual a plus
Minimum 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
May be required to work nights, holidays, and weekends; any shift/schedule as assigned
