Summary: Core responsibilities of this position include:
The Coordinator, Counseling and Campus Wellness is a full-time, 12-month, professional position responsible for the overall operation of the Counseling and Campus Wellness department. The Coordinator, Counseling and Campus Wellness implements the center's mission and Standards of Operation, supervises staff, coordinates educational programming and outreach, and counsels 4-5 students each day.

Compensation: Minimum $45,000. Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule : An on call rotation schedule for evening hours within the Residence halls is required on a weekly basis. Core hours are: 8:00 - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Operational Management
Continually evaluate what services the CCW center is offering, analyze the needs of students, set objectives to address those needs, measure effectiveness, appraise performance, recognize improvement, and project future departmental systems and operational objectives
Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish CCW departmental goals
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise the CCW staff
Prepare midyear and end of year reports to address the development of the community
Meet regularly with Departmental Dean and other Student Life Staff to discuss relevant issues
Lead and/or serve on College committees as assigned
Maintain CCW websites and portals
Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop counseling programmatic goals and counseling groups in order to provide comprehensive counseling opportunities to students
Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet Counseling and Campus Wellness, Campus Living and Learning, and College goals and objectives
Manage situations involving various psychological, emotional, medical or safety related emergencies or incidents. Provide appropriate referrals as needed.
Schedule coverage for center and on-call duty in order to provide continual counseling services while the college is in session.
Oversee the effective implementation of evening and weekend emergency on-call services
Train cross-functionally with other members of the CLL team to ensure service coverage, the ability to back each other up, as well as inter-team and intra-team support for CLL and CCW activities.
Provide back up as needed to support staff within the center and the unit
Promote a safe environment for students to discuss their feelings and then, ultimately, help them develop strategies to deal with the events in their life.
Increase professional knowledge by reviewing current literature, conducting social research, or attending seminars, training workshops, or classes.
Maintain and ensure the security of confidential counseling records within the CCW center
Educate the campus community members about mental or physical illness, abuse, medication, or available community resources
Promote and enforce professional and ethics standards
Serve as a resource for campus groups and/or departments
Maintain appropriate and accurate records on students who use services and assists with other data collection for accounting and reporting purposes as required by the Dean.
Must have availability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
Management of a professional team
The ability to effectively communicate and implement a staff centered managerial philosophy
Provide guidance and constructive behavior based coaching support for staff issues
Participate in recommending the appointment of personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; and work with employees to correct deficiencies
Conduct regular team meetings, one on one meetings with staff, in-service staff training, and opportunities for professional development
Seek and encourage professional development opportunities in interest areas both in and outside of counseling in order to expand professional experience for the Director as well as direct reports
Provide back-up assistance to staff; arrange for appropriate coverage when away from campus
Fairly and consistently calendar and approve vacation requests and approvals in a timely and operationally based manner
The Director of CCW is responsible for providing superior direction, intervention, and supervision of counselors during crisis events, reporting of incidents back to the Dean (when ethically and legally appropriate), and leading intervention strategies to address and assist as needed during times of crisis
Actively provide staff with a results oriented performance appraisal system and offer feedback consistently and fairly throughout the year
Encourage and support professional development and individual growth opportunities
Assist staff to build upon and utilize their individual abilities and skills in order to advance on the basis of performance
Effectively communicate expectations, provide opportunities to perform, provide timely feedback and guidance where necessary, and recognize achievements
Provide and encourage consultative opportunities with other licensed professionals in order to provide excellent personal counseling services, ethical care, and support for the team
Assign work activities, projects, and programs; monitor work flow, and review, evaluate, and communicate progress
Provide Clinical supervision to CCW staff and/or interns within the employment of Laramie County Community College
Program development/management
Be aware of issues and trends for college populations, higher education, assessment and current therapeutic practices in order to provide the best possible service to students
Actively assess the needs of LCCC students in order to provide intentional, data informed program interventions and educational opportunities in order to promote wellness
Work closely with the Director of Residential Living and Judicial Affairs, provide leadership, oversight, and direction in relation to the CCW's role in providing holistic wellness services offered under the direction of the Campus Living and Learning Center
Develop, coordinate, implement, and assess a comprehensive mental health and wellness programming and activities working in collaboration with other departments
Plan and implement passive and active educational programs, classroom presentations, counseling groups and training seminars
Actively participate in the Student Health 101 by providing resources, scheduled events, and subject matter expertise
Continually strive to collaborate with other campus constituencies in order to provide programming, educational and outreach opportunities for the campus community
Integrate counseling and campus wellness services and institutional training strategically by collaborating and/or training efforts in order to provide and support the needs of faculty and staff within the LCCC organizational needs
Implement mental health programs to provide education and awareness of mental health issues
Coordinate educational programs for the college community
Serve as a campus liaison and coordinate collaborative multi-departmental meetings to facilitate programming initiatives
Budgeting
Administering and monitoring the Counseling and Campus Wellness Departmental budget
Comply with all college policies and procedures, including but not limited to contract and procurement
Participate in budget preparation and administration; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; submit justifications for expenditure requests, monitor and control expenditures
Anticipate expenses necessary to provide comprehensive counseling services
Approve all expenditures from the CCW budget
Provide monthly updates to the Dean of Campus Living and Learning
Personal/Group Counseling
Provide personal counseling, group counseling, and program development for students, staff, faculty and administrators.
Personal counseling: provide short-term individual and group counseling
Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution for students
Coordinate referrals of long-term or clients with significant mental health issues to local community resources, following through to ensure service efficacy
Consult with CARE Team or other professionals as applicable.
Assess individuals for mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and/or client advocacy
Crisis intervention
Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to students undergoing anxiety, stress, grief and/or other intense emotions surrounding a traumatic event
Assign follow-up to appropriate community mental health agency
Provide information and referral support services to students, faculty, and/or staff as needed
Provide lethality assessment with corresponding documentation and coordinate appropriate level of intervention
Ensure that the Counseling and Campus Wellness office is open and available for crisis issues
Serve as an active member of the Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation Team (C.A.R.E Team)
Community Outreach
Coordinate activities with other divisions and departments to ensure that services for students, faculty and staff are provided
Develop innovative methods of delivery of services based on needs of students, faculty, and staff
Establish strong community partnerships in order to provide better services, and opportunities for students
Coordinate referrals within the community
Represent the CLL Team on various committees when requested both on and off campus
Participate on various in-house teams/cross-functional work groups chartered with the responsibility for various special projects intended to add-value, increase efficiency, enhance effectiveness, improve services, etc. of the College.
This individual is required to work some evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.
Minimum
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related equivalent degree (with an emphasis or experience in Student Personnel services or Higher Education).
Four years of experience in counseling; counseling in a college or university setting
Supervisory experience required
Must meet eligibility requirements for professional licensure through the State of Wyoming Mental Health Professional Licensing Board.
Preferred

Counseling experience within a college or university setting
Knowledge, training, and/or experience in Student Personnel services or Higher Education
Knowledge in Counseling/Student Development/Human Development Theories
Interpersonal and Group Communication Skills
Mental health assessment and interpretation, relationship building, campus presentation/trainings, case management
Involvement in student activities

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
