The ACES faculty member is responsible for Adult Basic Education (ABE) classroom instruction and related activities. Most students in this program need to prepare to take the Wyoming High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC) assessment which is based on the College and Career Readiness section of the Common Core Standards. In addition to instruction, this faculty member coordinates the new student orientation and placement testing and serves as the backup for the ABE student database. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Laramie County Community College campus or outreach center as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction; instructional counseling; academic advising; serving on various committees; and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. A faculty member performs all other duties as directed by the Lead Instructor, Program Manager, Division Dean, Vice President of Academic Affairs, or the President or designee.
Deliver instruction in individualized, computer-assisted and group situations. Assess students' abilities using the approved assessment tools. Use pre- and post-assessment data to assist students in developing their own learning plans and set realistic goals. Instruct students who are working on various subjects at multiple skill levels. Integrate technology into instruction. Develop, evaluate and update curriculum. Maintain accurate records of student's attendance and progress and supply necessary information for the ACES student database. Phone contacts for attendance, retention and follow-up reporting. Manage, train and mentor part-time instructors and instructional assistants. Assist Program Manager with recruitment, retention, staff development; grant writing and reporting, scheduling and public relations.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education or closely related field. Experience teaching adult education courses; experience with curriculum development and delivery. Adult education teaching experience required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's degree in education or closely related field. Three or more years adult education teaching experience. Certification in adult education. Gold level Wyoming Career Readiness Certificate.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
