Summary:
The Cheer Team/Dance Squad Head Coach is responsible for the day to day operation of the spirit team program. In addition, he/she will assist the Director of Athletics with the long term planning and development of the program.
Compensation: Minimum $14.88 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Screening Date: Position will remain open until filled, screening to being immediately.
Start Date: As soon after screening as practical.
Thorough knowledge of cheer and mascot activities.
Ability to effectively work with various publics and diverse populations.
Administrative ability to manage details of budget, scheduling, and recruiting.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
An understanding of the mission and role of Laramie County Community College.
Ability to stimulate motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm in students.
Ability to recruit students for cheerleading, dance and mascot.
Willing to work nights and week-ends.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Experience in cheer-leading/dance/stunting at the high school or college level.
Certified (or willing to become certified) through AACA.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience in coaching preferred but not required.
