Our business unit provides support in three major areas: business process services, where we perform the actual function that the process is relate to; business process related software, that helps us manage the various components, the systems associated with the software in the process; and then there is a business process management which is used to help design and track the performance of the specific business process. The business units' work supports primarily the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. We support our clients with a work force of over 2600 Serco and Serco subcontractor employees and provide mission critical support services that primarily support Immigration, Visa Processing and Commerce. The business unit also has approximately 2000 employees and operates at hundreds of locations across the United States and overseas in Korea, Japan, Italy, and Germany. We provide personnel services to military personnel, military families, and civilians working for the military. Job Description:
This clinical counselor position directs the Air National Guard (ANG) Psychological Health Program in Cheyenne, WY supporting ANG Service members and their families. The ANG Psychological Health Program mission is to increase individual and unit readiness and wellbeing through the promotion of psychological health and resilience. The clinical counselor will ensure strategic support services to leadership, the units and local community, and provide direct services to Service members and their families. They provide Strategic Services through consultation to State National Guard leadership on psychological health issues and integration of Military Service and DOD-wide psychological health initiatives and population-health monitoring. Through Community Capacity Building, the employee will assist in development of a strategic plan for delivery of comprehensive services to support psychological health, promote the availability of and access to a continuum of care to Service members. The employee will ensure clinical mental health services are provided at the installation and community level and all services are integrated and coordinated. Through direct client services, the employee will ensure coordination and access for clinical, counseling, and other services which promote Service member and family psychological health and resiliency.
Required Skills and
Experience:
REQUIRED: Masters and/or Doctorate degree in a clinical or administrative mental health field from an accredited college or university recognized by the corresponding professional association(s).
REQUIRED: Current state license or state certification to practice at the independent level as a mental health practitioner (e.g. social worker, clinical psychologist, marriage and family counselor, and professional counselor) in WY.
REQUIRED: Minimum of five years of clinical or administration mental health care experience after receiving the qualifying graduate degree for this position.
REQUIRED: Demonstrated understanding and skill in primary, secondary, and tertiary psychological health interventions.
REQUIRED: Demonstrated ability to utilize a broad range of educational and promotional methods to create effective psychological health educational and promotional events and strategies.
REQUIRED: Proven public speaking ability and experience which resulted in effective presentations to a variety of groups.
REQUIRED: Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Able to work well with individuals in a wide range of ranks and positions in a military setting.
REQUIRED: Demonstrated capability to complete accurate bio-psycho-social assessments including substance abuse assessments and ability to participate in NG sponsored Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder training. Demonstrated skill in performing phone counseling
PREFERRED: Prior partnering with Military Service Government personnel and programs highly preferred.
ADDITIONAL: Attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment. Ability to travel within a state or territory as well as nationally as highly visible, well-identified representatives of this program.
