Often the first person a customer sees when entering our stores, our Cashiers ensure that final step of the Star Nursery shopping experience is efficient and pleasant.
Our Cashiers accurately record the sale of merchandise for our customers while maintaining a great attitude and professional completion of the sale.
The Head Cashier leads by example and supervises the other Cashiers.
Ring up customers Keep front end clean and stocked Answer telephones Help stock merchandise Straighten and dust merchandise Check for consistent pricing Sweep floors as needed Order/Make signs when necessary Pick up trash Face and restock shelves and end caps Supervises other Cashiers Physical Aspects of the job Frequently bending, twisting and rotating trunk, arms and legs Standing 100% of the time/walking 99% of the time/climbing 10% of the time Working with arms extended and bent constantly Frequently moving parts and stock weighing up to 35 pounds, 10 to 50 feet Occasionally moving parts and stock weighing up to 50 pounds; pushing and pulling occasionally Frequently moving merchandise weighing 10 to 25 pounds from floor to counter Occasionally moving and stocking overhead shelves with parts weighing 5 to 15 pounds Constant gross hand and finger dexterity; frequently grasping and manipulating Constant hand and eye coordination Qualifications Skills Required Positive Attitude Expert Preferred Safety Compliance Expert Product Knowledge Some Knowledge Reliability/ Dependability Advanced Customer Service Advanced Cash Handling Expert Attention to Detail Advanced Behaviors :
