Participates in and supports community outreach and education.

1.Works closely with cardiac and pulmonary rehab staff to implement exercise prescriptions.Responsible for in-patient education of risk factor modification on post diagnostic cath and intervention patients.
2.Assists with community outreach activities and education.Participates in cholesterol screenings, peripheral artery disease screenings.
3.Recognizes and seeks learning opportunities relevant to advancing personal and professional competency.Attends staff meetings, care conferences and in-services.Serves as a role model in wellness to patients, coworkers, and community.
4.Participates in the implementation of continuous quality control, process improvement, and quality management.
5.Responds with professional skills in emergency situations. Covers Cardiac Rehab outpatient exercise classes as needed.
6.Participates in the implementation of the individualized treatment plan with specific focus on exercise prescription and patient programs.
7.Responsible for education and documentation of plan in electronic medical record for all in-patient contacts.

Basic knowledge of ECG interpretation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science
BLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
ACLS preferred, ACSM Certification, and/or Exercise Specialist
Recent and relevant experiences in cardiovascular fieldEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
