Job Description
Position: Avionics Technician
Location: Cheyenne, WY (CYS)
Department: Maintenance
Accountable to: Avionics Supervisor

Position
Summary: Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of aircraft electrical parts and components

Areas of Accountability/
Essential Functions:
Performs all tasks as assigned in accordance with Company and FAA operating standards
Troubleshoots and repairs Collins Pro Line II avionics to box level
Troubleshoots and repairs EMB120 and B1900 C&D wiring to component level.
Bench Technicians, troubleshoots and repairs to component level Collins Pro Line II radio equipment, Beech PCB's, and King equipment
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability:
Strong knowledge of and familiarization with avionics on B1900 and EMB120 aircraft
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
Ability to prioritize workload in order to get aircraft completed on time
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to communicate in a professional manner

Education/Training/
Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Electronics or Avionics Education or Equivalent
FCC Element 1, 3, 8
B1900 and EMB120 Run & Taxi Qualified
A&P License Preferred
Inspection experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
Occasional to Frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 70lbs with or without assistance
Standing for up to 4 hours at a time
Frequent bending, reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling/crouching, twisting, walking, pushing, and pulling
Frequent writing, reading, and use of standard office equipment
Moderate to high noise levels; may require use of hearing protection equipment
Must be able and willing to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 ft
Occasional exposure to chemicals
Varying schedules, may require work on nights, weekends, and holidays

Other Requirements:
Minimum age of 18
Valid driver's license
Some travel may be required
