Requirements
A successful NOC Analyst will have the following:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and one plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communication and attention to detail skills, with an eagerness to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients
Previous Network Operations Center or related support experience
An advanced level of hands-on PC experience
Experience with LAN/WAN architecture, SONET, Ethernet, T1, Frame-Relay, xDSL, Circuit and Soft Switching, TCP/IP, VoIP, and VoATM is a plus
Responsibilities
Our NOC Team at Dish is expanding! We are looking to hire a number of candidates at varying levels to join the team. Our center runs 24x7 and is a fun and exciting place to work. These openings will fill a need for specialized scripting to bring data into the monitoring environment from other sources that do not have standard interfaces. This data will be used to ensure the systems within IT are working properly, and if not be able to alert the correct group so action can be taken quicker than in the past.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
Responsible for learning and mastering the administration of multiple complex application environments, including, but not limited to, installation, monitoring, administration, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and tuning
Understanding the delivery of data to multiple sources and the aggregation of the data
Working with scripting in multiple languages including: PHP, Perl, .NET, HTML5, and jscript
Provide single point of contact duties for high-risk & service impacting events
Open and refer trouble tickets to the appropriate level of support
Escalate network problems both internally and externally
