Physical Education Facility Monitor (LCCC Students Only)

This position is only available for Federal Work Study eligible students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for the Fall 2014 semester.
Monitor Physical Education facility to ensure safe and effective use. Provide assistance to and interacting with a wide variety of users including LCCC employees, students, and community individuals. Assist in set up and take down of equipment including but not limited to volleyball nets, tennis nets, and moving portable basketball baskets. Set up areas usage for classes and/or athletic practices and community events. Assist in facility maintenance, cleaning and organizing of all fitness related equipment.
Start Date: August 2014.
Compensation: Minimum $9.93 per hour.
An employee must frequently lift and/or move a minimum of 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds to perform essential position functions.
Assist in monitoring the facility and groups using the facility to ensure safe and effective use
Assist in setting up and taking down equipment including but not limited volleyball nets, tennis nets, and moving portable basketball baskets
Assist in facility maintenance
Check users for college identification
Sign guests of users into facility and make appropriate identification cards as need
Complete hourly usage forms including head counts
Complete walk arounds of the building every 15 - 20 minutes
Communicate with supervisor regarding facility issues
Provide clerical assistance as needed
Assist in keeping the facility clean including cleaning of treadmills, benches, and other related fitness equipment
Reorganize fitness equipment as needed to insure a safe environment for all users
Must be capable of prioritizing work and working independently
Must be able to use computer programs such as word, excel, etc.
Must be dependable and punctual
