This position is responsible for the design, production, modification and maintenance of flexible mobile websites, traditional and responsive design websites and web user interfaces. This involves designing concepts and using semantic mark-up language, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, XSL/XML to turn those static concepts and designs into working browser-based web pages. This position will work with web server administrators and third party server-side developers to implement server-side code and develop complex, interactive and database driven websites. This position will also create graphics and other website elements for use on the internal and external websites. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator is required.

Responsible for the design and development of web pages, graphics, multimedia, GUIs
Develop, design and code in a clean, efficient, well-structured and easily maintainable format that can be understood and edited by others
Develop web features and content in coordination with other promotional and marketing materials to ensure design, content and functionality is current and supports/enhances campus-wide brand and overall strategic marketing plan
Create web implementations that perform well across multiple mobile and traditional platforms using traditional and responsive design concepts.
Troubleshoot site bugs and issues
Conduct frequent audits to maintain consistency of presentation, optimal functionality and proper operation of interactive components and features
Manage user experience on the web, considering navigation, layout and templates, maintaining consistency of the website's look and feel
Research departments and their various functions to ensure ability to create accurate, on-target concepts and functionality for requested web projects
Provide support and lend technical expertise to internal and external content developers on web content and social media projects
Operate effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes
Assist with postings on social media pages and manage marketing and implementation of new social media accounts
Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities (marketing R&D;)
Co-lead the Web Advisory Team, which is responsible for shaping the direction of the website and social media presence, including content and procedures
Serve as the liaison for web design and development services with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; negotiate and resolve sensitive and controversial issues
Keep up with quickly changing, mobile-first, web trends such as Google Glass, Smart Watches and Smart TVs to ensure the college web properties are developed and modified to be accessible on all mainstream devices
Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to design, accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future marketing and development projects
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in web design, multimedia, graphic design, computer science or related field
Two years of proven website experience as a professional web designer, web developer, or equivalent
