The Application Services group is responsible for all customized software development, validation, and sustaining of services solutions. This group is responsible for development of technical solutions and middleware complementing the main platforms in coordination with the various R&D; teams to ensure the best solution is found for the customer.
The _Software developer_will report to the North American Enterprise Group Professional Services Customization team that is responsible for all customized software development, validation, and sustaining of services solutions in support of the North American region.
Successful candidate will work closely with some of the top experts in the field of VoIP, Web, CTI and other Communication technologies both within and external to Alcatel-Lucent in order to develop highly innovative solutions and deliver a truly differentiated service for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Customers.
Responsibilities
leveraging Alcatel-Lucent products and services based on industry best Services/Project Delivery practices
Assist clients and business partners in the development lifecycle of custom software components and applications using Alcatel-Lucent SDKs/APIs on Linux and Windows platforms.
Present and demonstrate proposed solutions as required. Perform knowledge transfer of the delivered solutions at the conclusion of the engagement as necessary.
Provide support to entitled clients at the Application level for custom developed solutions (applications and components) on as needed basis.

## Qualifications
Qualifications
BS/MS/BA or equivalent.
3 to 5 yrs software development experience in Java
Experience in web applications development methodologies (Ajax, CSS, Javascript ).
Understanding of web architecture in high volumes traffic
Experience with UNIX/LINUX Windows and Android operating environments at the system user/administrator level.
Ability to work independently and in full autonomy on routine duties or projects, general instruction on new assignments.
Good English verbal, writing skills and the ability to effectively interact with clients (technical audiences).
Ability to relate effectively with clients and partners (vendors and internal teams). May assist with resolving escalated customer issues that originated with the customers or partners.
Knowledge on Data Networking
Familiarity with the following is a definite plus :
Experience in applications development on smartphones or tablets (Apple, Android)
Good practical experience with Agile/SCRUM Development Methodologies
Good working experience with Database Administration/Optimization
