PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Support and assist various projects as assigned within the Company's Engineering Department. These projects will be assigned consistent with the Company's Internship Program with an emphasis on developing an understanding of the Company's multiple business units and enhancing the intern's ability to apply their engineering education in a professional environment.
_REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:_ Manager, Construction Services
_ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:_
Utilize computer data and communicate with field staff to verify construction.
Utilize computer based pressure and flow simulation software to analyze natural gas distribution systems.
Perform limited operations design work.
Provide engineering support to Engineers and Drafting Technicians.
Assist with project construction.

Responsibilities:
Additional projects may be assigned as needed.

Maintain strong working relationships within the Operations and Engineering Departments.

Experience:_
None required.
EDUCATION:
College sophomore or above working toward a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum GPA of 2.5.
KNOWLEDGE:
Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment.
Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering principles.
SKILLS/ABILITY/OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare and give presentations.
Ability to understand and exercise judgment in business issues.
High energy self-starter.
Attention to detail required.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar software.
Basic engineering skills.
_CERTIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS:_
None required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Participation in the Company's Industry Orientation Experiences, which will include some travel and overnight stays.
Prepare and present a synopsis of your Black Hills experience at the end of the internship.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
